Mission BBQ 9/10
I gave it a 9/10 only because of the corn.. it was too hard, dry and bland.. other than that everything else was soooo good
When I visited Mission BBQ, I was truly impressed by the quality and flavor of their ribs—they were tender, smoky, and packed with delicious seasoning. The mac and cheese had just the right creamy texture and comfort-food appeal, and the cornbread was moist and flavorful, rounding out the meal nicely. However, the corn on the cob was noticeably dry and lacked flavor, which was surprising given the rest of the spread. From my experience, this might be due to how the corn is cooked or stored before serving. I’ve found that BBQ places sometimes overlook side dishes like corn, focusing more on the meats and signature items. That said, Mission BBQ’s overall menu balances well between hearty proteins and classic Southern sides. If you’re planning to visit, I’d recommend sticking with the ribs and mac and cheese while perhaps skipping or requesting a different preparation of the corn on the cob. Also, their commitment to a casual, welcoming environment makes it a great spot for family dinners or casual gatherings. Overall, my visit was satisfying and I’d definitely return—just hoping they improve their corn on the cob to match their otherwise excellent food.
