When I first heard about challenges like the '75 Hard,' I was intrigued by the discipline but knew I needed something tailored to my fitness passion: Pilates. So, I crafted my own version, focusing on consistent Pilates practice for 75 consecutive days. It's not just about showing up; it’s about committing to a health and wellness journey that builds strength, flexibility, and mental resilience. Today was Day 5, and I really pushed myself with a double reformer class at Club Pilates Rittenhouse. For those unfamiliar with 'CP reformer' workouts, it's an incredible full-body experience. The reformer machine uses springs and pulleys to provide resistance, making exercises more challenging and effective than mat Pilates alone. It's fantastic for core strength, toning, and improving posture without putting excessive strain on your joints. Going back-to-back for two hours on the reformer meant a serious burn, but the feeling of accomplishment afterward is unmatched! When considering a '75 days hard challenge' like this, preparation and recovery are key. My double session today totaled over 2 hours and 15 minutes, burning a whopping 457 active calories and 738 total calories, according to my tracker! This kind of intensity requires proper hydration and nutrition to keep going. I always make sure to fuel up with a balanced meal beforehand and rehydrate with electrolytes after. Listening to your body is crucial – some days might be tougher than others, but consistency is the ultimate goal. Don't be afraid to modify exercises if you need to, but always show up! For anyone in the Philadelphia area looking to try Pilates, I highly recommend Club Pilates Rittenhouse. The instructors are fantastic, and the studio atmosphere is really motivating. They offer a variety of classes, including reformer, chair, and barre, making it easy to keep your workouts fresh and engaging throughout a long challenge. Finding a supportive community and a great studio can make all the difference in sticking to your goals. This challenge isn't just about physical transformation; it's about building a healthier, more disciplined lifestyle that extends beyond the 75 days. Wish me luck!
