💕Prep time: 10 minutes
💕Cook time: 20 minutes
💕Total time: 30 minutes
🌟Ingredients
✨Pork Chops: 2 thick-cut pork chops
✨Seasoning Blend:
✨1 tsp Kinder’s Garlic & Herb seasoning (or your favorite savory seasoning blend)
✨1/2 tsp smoked paprika
✨1/2 tsp onion powder
✨Salt and black pepper to taste
✨A dash of Tony Chachere's or Creole seasoning for an extra kick
💕Cooking Fat: 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil for searing
💕Rice & Cheese:
✨1.5 cups cooked white rice
✨1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (melted over the warm rice)
💕Vegetables:
✨2 cups broccoli florets and sliced carrots
✨1 tbsp butter
✨A pinch of garlic powder, salt, and pepper
💕Instructions
1. Prep the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops completely dry with paper towels. Rub both sides lightly with olive oil, then generously season them with your blend of Kinder's Garlic & Herb, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, pepper, and a touch of Creole seasoning.
2. Sear the Meat: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a tablespoon of butter and a splash of oil. Once hot and bubbly, add the pork chops. Sear for about 4 to 5 minutes per side until a rich, golden-brown crust forms and the internal temperature reaches 145°F. Remove them from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes.
3. Steam the Veggies: While the chops rest, steam or lightly boil your broccoli and carrot blend until tender-crisp. Drain any excess water, toss them with a tablespoon of butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until fully coated.
4. Prepare the Rice: Scoop your warm white rice onto the plate and immediately top it with shredded cheddar cheese so it melts into gooey pockets.
5. Plate and Serve: Place your savory, seared pork chops alongside the cheesy rice and buttered veggies, and enjoy a warm, comforting meal!
