I survived launching our company’s newest TikTok account… (AHH) and let me tell you, it was not as simple as “just post the video.”
This was definitely not as easy as I thought it would be. Photos are one thing, but shooting, staging, editing, etc videos that need to be professional...that's a whole new beast, especially as a ONE PERSON MARKETING TEAM now running two 'separate' company accounts.
Working with what I had, I set up a makeshift “studio” on my old oak desk, stacked props to balance my phone, and spent way too long trying to get the lighting right from my overhead sad yellow office lights. It honestly has been really irritating to me because this is what I love to do, but its so hard when you have ZERO resources or help.
I've filmed the same clip over and over, still convinced every angle looks awkward. Now, I have a camera roll full of literally identical photos and videos. Sadly, that's only half the battle. Now I have to try to think of edits and TikTok style videos to make out of these videos.
I finally posted our first video this week [🙂] When the post finally went live, I felt two things at once: relief that it was done (for today..) and panic that people would actually see it. But hey, I survived! I know from my own social media that the more you post, edit, create, the easier it gets.
Anyways! If you have any great TikTok style videos for a supplement product(s) PLEASE share them. My brain is out of ideas past my first post.
... Read moreLaunching a TikTok account for a supplement brand like NAD Plus comes with unique challenges but also great opportunities to connect authentically with your audience. Since videos require more planning, staging, and editing than photos, it’s important to create content that highlights the benefits and lifestyle appeal of your supplement in a visually engaging way.
Setting up a budget-friendly TikTok “studio” can be done with simple props and natural or soft lighting to avoid harsh office light effects. For NAD Plus and similar products, consider shooting short clips that demonstrate how the supplement fits into daily routines, such as morning wellness rituals or post-workout recovery. Showing the product in action and using trendy audio clips can enhance viewer engagement.
Since TikTok favors authentic, relatable content, don’t worry about perfection. Experiment with different angles and keep videos spontaneous to appeal to a broad audience. Incorporating user-generated content and reviews can also build trust and social proof.
Editing apps tailored for TikTok are invaluable for trimming clips, adding captions, and embedding popular effects that align with supplement marketing without overshadowing the product. Focus on clear messaging about NAD Plus, such as its anti-aging or energy-boosting properties, paired with visual cues.
Lastly, content consistency is key. The more you post and interact, the more you learn what resonates with your audience, making the process less overwhelming over time. Engage with followers by responding to comments and soliciting video ideas to keep inspiration flowing for future posts about NAD Plus, expanding your reach while building a vibrant community on TikTok.
