🌯No Snack Wraps for Me! 🌯

With the McDonald’s snack wraps coming back out, it made me crave a chicken wrap. I’ve been watching how I eat lately and I don’t think the McDonald’s ones are worth the calories. They definitely need to bring back the chicken selects from the reviews I’ve seen🥴 anyways…

Here’s an option with lower calories for a chicken wrap. I didn’t go with ranch because look at the calorie difference 😳 same serving size with a difference of 120 calories. Zero net carb wraps with 110 calories per 3 tortillas (I only had 2 for lunch) and lightly breaded chicken strips that I measured out (3 ounces) and air fried which were 180 calories. I used spinach instead of lettuce simply because that’s what I had in the fridge lol..

IMO they were delicious and light ☺️ 273.3 calories including the spinach

The homemade chicken wrap described uses zero net carb tortillas, which typically contain about 110 calories for 3 tortillas, making it a low-carb option that helps reduce daily carbohydrate intake. Instead of deep frying, the use of air-fried lightly breaded chicken strips (about 3 ounces) cuts down on excess fat and calories, contributing roughly 180 calories to the meal. Spinach is a nutrient-dense choice over lettuce, providing vitamins A, C, and K, iron, and folate, which promote overall health and well-being. Choosing dressings wisely is essential for calorie control; for instance, ranch dressing adds significant fat and calories—up to 130 calories per two tablespoons—whereas skipping or replacing it with lower-calorie alternatives can greatly reduce meal caloric intake. Incorporating fresh, whole foods and cooking methods like air frying enhances flavor while supporting a balanced diet. For those following low-calorie or low-carb diets, the combination of zero net carb wraps, air-fried chicken, and nutrient-rich greens offers an excellent lifestyle-friendly meal. Additionally, homemade recipes allow control over ingredient quality, seasoning, and portion size, which can be challenging with fast-food options. This approach aligns with current nutritional guidance advocating for minimally processed foods and moderation in calorie-dense condiments. Moreover, monitoring calorie differences—as highlighted by the 120-calorie difference between homemade and fast-food wraps—can have a meaningful impact over time for weight management or health goals. With growing consumer interest in clean eating and mindful calorie consumption, such recipes provide satisfying alternatives that don't compromise taste or convenience. Ultimately, this homemade chicken wrap recipe offers a delicious, light, and health-conscious choice for those craving wraps without the calorie-heavy downsides of some fast-food offerings.

FYI this is just to compare the calories because I was curious. There are 390 calories in one ranch snack wrap.
