5 things you need to know before starting solids

5 things I wish I could tell all parents before they start solids… 🍐👶✨

1️⃣ Babies are all different. There’s no one perfect age, and you’re not ruining your baby’s gut by starting at 5 months if they’re showing the signs of readiness. 💛

2️⃣ Do BLW. Do purée. Do both. It’s not that deep and it honestly doesn’t matter. 🥄😅

3️⃣ Learn which foods cause allergies — and introduce the ones you actually eat as a family early on. 🥜🍞

4️⃣ Don’t listen to anyone who makes you feel worse about what you’re doing. You don’t need that negativity. 🙅‍♀️✨

5️⃣ DON’T GO TO KMART. We make the best quality feeding ware on the market (think plates that actually stick). Best part? We’re on Black Friday sale right now — pay close to Kmart prices but get something 10,000x better. 🍽️🛍️🔥

Toddler solids: Banana finger bar 🍌
Today I’m going to share a snack that babies love to eat, crispy finger sticks, banana-flavored, with a sweetness that melts in your mouth. It’s perfect for baby’s finger food. The snacks you make yourself are healthy and contain no additives, so your baby can eat with confidence. 😉 📌tips: 1.

This image displays four scenes of babies eating and baby food, including divided plates with avocado, eggs, blueberries, and avocado toast. An overlay states, "I wish pediatricians told me this BEFORE starting solids."
This image features various iron-rich baby foods like salmon, avocado, lentils, broccoli, and sweet potato fries on divided plates. The text emphasizes feeding iron-rich foods first, such as meat, lentils, and beans, daily as baby iron stores deplete by 6 months.
A gray divided plate holds large pieces of sweet potato, broccoli, and shredded chicken with pasta. The text explains that bigger food pieces are safer for babies, as they lack pincer grasp, making large strips easier to manage.
