Herbs have a way of healing, cleansing, refreshing, cooling, balancing, and comforting. What blends do you need today? As we head into summer, here is a list of herbs that cool the body and keep hydration up.

1- Anything in the mint family especially peppermint. Mixed with citrus and honey helps the body regulate heat in summer.

2- cilantro although used in warming dishes naturally cools the body by reducing blood pressure. It can also be pulverized and mixed with aloe Vera gel to place on burns for pain relief and healing.

3- lavender is a vasodilator. So it opens capillaries on the skin which allow the body to cool much faster in hot weather. Mix lavender syrup with cucumbers and ice in a blender to makes a hydrating and refreshing smoothies for those hot summer days.
