5 Communities for Study & Career Buddies
When you’re studying and grinding for a new job, degree, or language…it can be lonely.
I’ve got a list of communities you can join and talk to other like minded people. :)
1. 🚌 Skool
This is a platform with both paid and free groups. It’s kinda new, so a lot of education related groups are free for a limited time. Including mine!
Come take a look at my community, Learn and Earn. You can upgrade your career, productivity and skills!
Since I’m still figuring out how to run it, I’m offering it free for now. It’s free for the first 50 members (for life) ,so don’t be sure to miss it.

There are tons of useful subreddits where you can meet likeminded people for totally free. They are like their own communities, so they get their own spots. Search Reddit + the sub name to find it online. Let’s go over some of my favorites:
2.🫡 r/careerguidance
Get career advice from people in all sorts of careers! Get support on your job hunt.
3. 📚 r/study
People are always posting study tips here and some people are looking for study buddies. Get accountability and possibly friends here.
4.🪙 r/studytips
Similar to study, this one is a bit more tactical. People post about studying but not just for school. Interviews, sleep habits and memory tricks can be found here.
5.🇬🇧 r/languagelearning
This one is just for languages! Find tons of free resources here. You can also look for your specific language’s sub. Just type in Reddit + learn + your target language.
If you know of any other communities to meet fellow study-ers, drop it in the comments!

It wasn't long ago that I felt stuck in my study routine, trying to navigate career changes all by myself. The loneliness was real, and honestly, it made it hard to stay motivated. That's when I realized I needed more than just textbooks; I needed STUDY FRIENDS and a supportive network for academic and career support. It's truly transformative when you find your tribe! Beyond the fantastic communities already mentioned, I've learned a few things about making the most of these community-driven study groups. First, think about what you genuinely need. Are you looking for intensive study sessions, quick career advice, or just a place to vent about challenges? Some platforms excel at structured learning, while others are better for informal chats and networking. For instance, while Reddit is amazing for broad advice, a dedicated Discord server might be perfect for real-time study sprints with a small group where you can hold each other accountable through shared goals and virtual study sessions. When you join, don't be a ghost! I used to just lurk in groups, afraid to speak up. But I quickly learned that the real magic happens when you engage. Introduce yourself, share your goals, and actively ask questions. I’ve found that the more I contribute, the more I get back. Offering help to others, even if it's just sharing a useful resource or cheering someone on, builds genuine connections. Remember, these are not just places to passively consume information; they are dynamic environments where you help shape the community and its resources. This active participation strengthens the 'community-driven' aspect, making it more valuable for everyone. Another tip: explore beyond the obvious. While the article highlights some great 5 PLACES TO MEET, consider niche groups on LinkedIn for specific career fields, or even virtual coworking platforms that bring people together in a 'silent' study space, fostering a sense of shared effort. For language learning, beyond Reddit, look for conversation exchange apps that often have vibrant community forums and virtual meetups. These often host dedicated sub-groups for different proficiency levels or specific language goals, making it easier to find your perfect match. Finding the right community means looking for active moderation and a positive atmosphere. A good community should feel safe, encouraging, and free from judgment. You’re there to grow, and that’s easier when everyone is lifting each other up. Don't be afraid to try a few different groups before settling on one that truly resonates with your learning style and career aspirations. Look for communities that celebrate small wins and offer constructive feedback. Building these connections is an investment in yourself, making the journey much more enjoyable and successful. It’s not just about finding answers; it’s about finding people who understand your journey and can walk alongside you, whether you're tackling a tough exam or charting a new career path.
