Chapter 8: The Most Tired Day... But Still Have to Smile
Someone once asked me...
"Is the manager tired?"
The answer is... tired. Tired from solving problems.
Tired of taking the pressure. Tired of having to make dozens of decisions in one day.
Some days...
Sales do not meet the target, sick leave staff, customers complain, not enough goods, executives wait for answers.
Everything is like throwing in at the same time.
And there are times...
I wanted to sit quietly, wanted to rest, I wanted to say, "I can't do it today," but when I looked up... I saw the team looking at me, so I knew that the smile of the boss... could be the encouragement of the whole team that day, I didn't smile because I didn't have a problem, but I smiled because I didn't want to discourage the team.
Being a leader is not pretending we're not tired.
But choosing not to let our fatigue become a burden on the whole team.
When it's time to rest...
I admit to myself that I'm tired because the boss is a human being, but when it's time to rise again, I'll rise up with new powers to continue leading the team.
A true leader, not one who is never tired, but one who is tired... and still chooses to walk.
