Through my own healing journey, I've found that accepting uncomfortable truths truly makes life feel lighter. For example, understanding that not everyone will like you frees you from the exhausting need for external validation. This insight helped me focus on being authentic rather than fixing how others perceive me. I also used to get overwhelmed by stress stemming from "what if" scenarios. Recognizing that most stress comes from things not actually happening allowed me to stay more present. Using tools like the Vent Now app helped me sit with confusing emotions — anxiety, anger, or sadness — without rushing to understand them, which made emotional processing gentler and more effective. Closure is something I've learned to give myself rather than waiting for apologies or explanations from others. This shift accelerated my healing, allowing me to move on without feeling stuck. Lastly, comparing my life timeline to others' highlight reels only held me back. Realizing I'm early for my own unique path helped me appreciate my progress and maintain motivation. Embracing these truths has been empowering and I highly encourage anyone feeling stuck or burdened by expectations to explore them. Life becomes lighter when you accept that some uncertainties and discomforts are part of growth and healing.
