「十津川村って何が有名？」と調べている方にまず推したいのが、やっぱり瀞峡（どろきょう）。奈良・和歌山・三重を結ぶ大自然の渓谷で、川と青空のコントラスト、切り立つ断崖、奇岩が続く景色は“人生で一度は行くべき絶景”だと思いました。水面に周りの岩肌が映って、タイミングによってはすごく幻想的に見えるのも好きポイントです。 私が行った日は「瀞峡下り（川舟）」目的で、川舟観光 かわせみ を利用。発着場は瀞ホテルのそばの階段を下りた河原にあって、最初は少しドキドキするけど案内どおり行けば迷いませんでした。便は1時間に1本ペースなので、到着時間を逆算して動くのがおすすめ。天候や水位で運航が変わることがあるので、当日は念のため公式情報を確認してから向かうと安心です。 車で行く人は「無料駐車場あり」が本当に助かります。山道ドライブになるので、時間に余裕を持って行くのがコツ。私は早めに着いて、乗船前後に周辺を散策しましたが、川沿いの空気がひんやりして気持ちよく、鳥の声と川のせせらぎだけの時間が最高でした。 そしてセットで楽しみたいのが瀞ホテル。私は名物のカレーが目当てで、売り切れ前に行けてラッキーでした（無くなり次第終了なので、ここも早め行動が◎）。観光の流れとしては、午前に瀞峡下り→瀞ホテルでごはん→写真を撮りながら周辺をのんびり、が個人的にちょうどよかったです。 同じ十津川村観光でも、日程に余裕があれば「加太不動滝」や「不動川砂防歴史公園」も候補に入れると、渓谷・滝・歴史スポットでバランスよく回れます。十津川村は人口が少ない分、自然の密度が濃くて、“静かな秘境感”を味わえるのが魅力。 最後にマナーの話。渓谷は本当に美しいので、私も「来た時よりも綺麗にして帰る」を意識して、小さなゴミでも持ち帰りました。次に行く人も気持ちよく過ごせるように、みんなでこの景色を守っていけたら嬉しいです。
