🔥 Spicy Hot Pot Spot in Manhattan—MUST TRY!! 🔥

Not exaggerating—I was still thinking about this meal hours later. My boyfriend and I both agreed: this is hands-down the best hot pot in Manhattan.

📍 Mala Hot Pot (35 W 36th St., New York, NY 10018)

🫕 THE BROTH: We went for the 9-grid medium spice—perfectly numbing & flavorful without any bitterness. The chili oil was thick and fragrant, but not overwhelming. Just pure, deep Sichuan flavor.

🍢 THE INGREDIENTS:

✔️ Fresh eel skewers (YES, eel!! Super bouncy & flavorful—MUST TRY)

✔️ Duck blood (silky smooth)

✔️ Fried egg (soaks up all that spicy broth like a sponge, insane flavor)

✔️ Everything was top-tier fresh—we just kept eating non-stop 🫠

🍮 THE SWEET ENDING:

The owner personally made us a soy milk pudding—so silky & delicious that we had to ask for the recipe 👀

Biggest regret? Not taking the broth home 🥲

I asked my boyfriend THREE times if we should pack it up but chickened out. Now I’m lying in bed wishing I had. Next time, I’m 100% bringing a container for that soup 🏃‍♀️

🔥 If you love authentic, spicy hot pot, GET HERE ASAP before the lines start forming.
