The thing about body image that no one tells ambitious women is that you can literally achieve everything on your list and still not feel at home in your own body.

Because the goal was never actually about the body, it was the belief underneath it.

And that belief didn’t come from you. It came from a comment someone made when you were 12, a comparison you overheard, the way someone looked at you once and it stuck.

Your brain stored that moment and built a whole identity around it without ever asking your permission.

And now you’re 28, 32, 35 and still living inside a belief that was handed to you by someone who probably doesn’t even remember saying it.

And that belief is exactly what we rewire in coaching so you can actually live freely in your own body, not just survive in it 🎀🩷👋🏼 #mindsetcoach #bodyimage #rewireyourmind

... Read moreI've personally struggled with body image issues despite my achievements and busy life. It wasn't until I realized that my negative thoughts about my body were not actually about my physical appearance but about deep-rooted beliefs formed by past hurtful comments and comparisons that I began to shift my mindset. For years, I found myself criticizing every photo, every reflection, and even how I felt after social gatherings. The exhausting cycle of negative self-talk felt like bullying myself daily, as highlighted in the image text capturing how our brains get wired by repeated patterns. But what changed everything for me was recognizing that these learned beliefs were not permanent. I started to consciously observe my thoughts and challenge them, understanding they were learned behaviors influenced by my environment growing up. Working on rewiring these thought patterns through mindset coaching helped me develop new, empowering beliefs about my worth that's not tied to how I look or external validation. It’s liberating to finally be present with friends, enjoy experiences, and look in the mirror with kindness. If you’re dealing with similar struggles, know that your brain can relearn healthier ways of thinking. It’s about creating new connections that support self-love and acceptance. Coaching or therapy focused on mindset can be a powerful tool to break free from the cycle of negative body image thoughts. Remember, your value is intrinsic and not dictated by outdated beliefs that no longer serve you.

NORMAL Things I am Insecure About Every Day
