Postpartum Weightloss

I have always struggled with my weight and coming into this pregnancy it frustrated me knowing that I was overweight already. By the end of my pregnancy, I gained about 40lbs. I was surprised at how fast that weight fell off postpartum. I had lost about 30lbs the first month. But my body composition was completely different. I had lost a lot of muscle throughout my pregnancy and gained a lot more fat. Even when I got back to my original weight, nothing fit!

Postpartum can be so frustrating especially since I've always struggled with weight. But Im learning that loving myself in every stage of this journey is a must. My goal is to lose atleast another 40 lbs this year.

We have similar stats. I was 254 pregnant and 227 postpartum. I’ve been on my weight loss journey for 4 months now and am down to 199, still have a ways to go 🙃 I’ve been eating in a calorie deficit, working out for 30+ minutes a day even if it’s just walking, increasing water and protein intake as much as possible and taking low doses of Zepbound.

I did workouts, postpartum workouts on YouTube! Made small changes to my diet and I bought a stepper and did my best to get 1000 steps in a day on it! :)
