Hey everyone, so glad you're following along on my golf journey! While my initial post just touched the surface, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what this 'pursuit of excellence' really looks like on a daily basis. It's not always glamorous; sometimes it feels like a constant battle, pushing past frustrations to find those breakthrough moments. One of the biggest areas I'm constantly "dialing in" is my swing mechanics. It's a never-ending quest for consistency. I spend hours on the range, not just hitting balls, but really focusing on specific drills. Lately, I've been working on my transition at the top of the backswing, trying to avoid that slight over-the-top move. It's incredible how a tiny adjustment can make such a huge difference sometimes. You hit one "GOOD SHOT THAT WAS REALLY GOOD," and suddenly you feel like you've unlocked a secret, only to lose it on the next swing! It's enough to make you think, "I DON'T THINK SO OH BOY," when you see the ball stray. Then there's the mental game, which is arguably even more challenging than the physical. The pressure to perform, the internal dialogue questioning every decision – it's real. Sometimes I find myself overthinking, asking myself "HOW MANY YARDS?" a dozen times before a shot, even when the yardage book is right there. It’s about learning to trust your instincts and your practice. I've had to learn to quiet that 'NOPE' voice in my head when a shot feels off, and instead focus on the next one. It's all part of the discipline I mentioned. And let's be honest, we all have those moments where we're tempted to shave a few strokes, but there's a huge satisfaction in knowing you played fairly – "NO CHEATING!" is always the motto. Course management is another beast. It's not just about hitting the ball well; it's about making smart choices. Do you go for the hero shot to "PASS THE FLAG," or do you lay up to a safer spot? I've definitely learned that sometimes playing it safe leads to better scores. But when you execute that perfect approach and it lands "IT'S CLOSER" to the pin, that feeling is unmatched. And when it sails "PAST THE FLAG" exactly as intended, you know "THAT WAS IT" – pure satisfaction. My ultimate goal? Well, the dream of "TEES GOING PRO" (TGP for short!) is definitely a huge motivator. It means dedicating myself fully, pushing my limits, and constantly seeking improvement. It’s a challenging schedule, balancing practice, fitness, and mental training. Every day is a step closer, and I'm really excited to share the ups and downs of this incredible journey with all of you. Your support means the world as I chase this dream!
