OVEN BAKED STEAKS
Oven baked steaks are a fantastic way to enjoy this classic dish with minimal effort. The key to a delicious steak lies in the choice of beef cuts, seasoning, and cooking technique. For the best results, consider using ribeye or sirloin steaks, which are known for their rich flavor and tenderness. Preheat your oven to a high temperature, usually around 400-450°F (200-230°C), to create a perfect sear on the outside while maintaining juiciness inside. Before cooking, ensure that the steaks are at room temperature and generously season them with salt, pepper, and any preferred spices or marinades for added flavor. The cooking time will depend on the thickness of the steak and desired doneness. Typically, a 1-inch thick steak takes about 10-12 minutes for medium-rare. Use a meat thermometer to check doneness; 130-135°F (54-57°C) is ideal for medium-rare, while 145°F (63°C) is for medium. Resting the steak for a few minutes after cooking is crucial, as it allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a tender bite. This method of cooking is not only convenient but allows for easy cleanup and can yield impressive results. Pair your baked steak with sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad to create a complete meal. Enjoy your culinary adventure with oven baked steaks!
