Yall ASKED and I’m ANSWERING!!! 🏋🏾🏃🏾‍♀️

🤌🏾You know what weight loss is extremely hard… and it seems like we don’t latch on to better habits until we see dramatic changes, and this is almost never immediate… so many of us start this journey because of DIABETES or HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. I just want to say that I see you all and no matter how many times you start >>stop>>and start again ..you will never lose if you keep going.!!!

Things I’ve been doing 👇🏾

🚨Found my calorie deficient #

🚨Used L glutamine for blood sugar control

🚨Try to walk 30 mins a day

🚨Strength train 3x a week

🚨EAT AT HOME

🚨 EACH MEAL 3 TO 400 CAL & eat snack one or 200 cal (depends on cal deficit your in)

🚨focus on PROTEIN + fiber+ healthy, low carbs

🚨 water intake

* the first week was easy. The second week is when sugar cravings really set in. I used L glutamine to take the edge off of needing something sweet and after a while I just didn’t have an appetite for sweet things so it helped a lot, and I didn’t take it a whole lot, but it did help when I needed it.

** don’t get caught up in the zero sugar products. Most of them are filled with lots of chemicals. These chemicals keep you bloated, constipated, and prolong results. Once or twice a month, I might have a Coke zero sugar and this is completely fine. I’ll make sure it’s not the last thing that I drink because I’m staying hydrated with water any electrolytes plus life needs balance, but be mindful.

***☝🏾 and another thing any form of sugar even if it’s zero sugar it can trigger sugar cravings. I at least suggest giving up things, especially things that have added sugar until you feel like you have enough mind control to manage making better choices…

👍🏾👍🏾 towards the end of my 30 days it became a lot easier and I felt like I have made such a habit out of eating better and recognizing what food groups hinder my progress like I said in my previous post I’m nowhere near done. I’m just getting started. I have a lot more work to do..

Pro tip! If you’re the type of person that is very picky about the vegetables that you eat pick the one you like the most and put it on repeat do different things with seasonings and on days where this is hard don’t think about it because once your stomach is full, you won’t crave things you’re not supposed to have because you’re already satiated!

... Read moreStarting and sticking to a weight loss journey is indeed challenging, especially when managing chronic conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. From my own experience, establishing consistent habits rather than seeking immediate dramatic changes is key to long-term success. One strategy I found helpful was tracking my calorie intake meticulously to maintain a caloric deficit tailored to my needs. This not only guided my eating habits but also made me more conscious about portion sizes. I combined this with nutrient-dense meals rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats, while keeping carbs low to support stable blood sugar levels. Incorporating L glutamine was a game-changer for managing sugar cravings. It helped me resist the urge for sweets, especially during the tough second week when cravings can peak. However, I used it sparingly and combined it with plenty of water and electrolyte intake to stay hydrated and balanced. Regular physical activity was non-negotiable for me; walking at least 30 minutes daily and strength training three times a week boosted not only my metabolism but also my energy levels. Eating at home allowed me to control ingredient quality and portions, minimizing exposure to hidden sugars and chemicals often found in processed zero-sugar products, which I learned can hinder progress by causing bloating and cravings. An essential tip I discovered is to focus on vegetables you genuinely enjoy. Experimenting with seasonings kept things interesting and helped me stick to my plan without feeling deprived. On difficult days, I reminded myself that being satiated reduces cravings for unhealthy foods. Finally, I realized the importance of balance—allowing myself occasional treats like a Coke Zero while prioritizing hydration and wholesome foods kept motivation alive and made the journey sustainable. Remember, persistence is vital: no matter how many times you start and stop, you make progress as long as you keep going.
