WHA Group announced a new direction of the Thai industry's drive towards sustainability through a green business model that does not stop with carbon reduction, but builds on natural ecosystems, restoring biodiversity and upgrading environmental technologies as part of economic growth.

"Green must be edible," said Chief Executive Officer of WH Industrial Development, Public Limited, or WHAID. "Green must be edible, which is to make sustainability a business opportunity that generates economic returns, reduces environmental impacts and enhances competitiveness along the way."

⚡ The 2030 Green Goal is to turn ESG ideas into numbers, plans and targets. Under the Green Business Model, WHA Group sets key targets by 2030:

▪️ increased renewable energy capacity to 1,222 megawatts.

▪️ increased the amount of water management with the Water Reclamation System to 24.25 million cubic metres.

▪️ Transition to the use of 10,000 EV electric vehicles

▪️ studied future carbon reduction technologies such as SMR, Green Hydrogen and CCUS.

▪️ Develop a renewable economy model, covering industrial waste management, solar panel recycling and reuse of expired EV batteries.

🌱 Another issue WHA Group focuses on is the restoration of biodiversity, or biodiversity, especially the upgrading of green spaces in industrial estates into quality ecosystems, not just tree-growing areas.

WHA ESIE 2 is the first industrial estate in Thailand to develop natural ecosystems and concretely restore biodiversity in the area in partnership with the Royal Thai Foundation.

🌳 Biodiversity Project

▪️ 2025, start a project on 150 acres in three industrial estates.

▪️ 2026, expanding to 233 acres, covering eight industrial estates.

▪️ 2025, more than 15,800 trees have been planted on 69 acres.

▪️ 2026, prepare to plant an additional 81 acres in WHA ESIE 2 and RY36.

▪️ aims to expand reforestation and restore 82 additional acres of ecosystems by 2026.
