How I discovered I was HSP

It’s not that I don’t like people, but I’m a sponge, if I’m with someone super extrovert, jumping around and super fast, I will absorb all that energy and overwhelm myself.

I never felt comfortable at the gym, music club, restaurant with too much noise or people.

When hanging with my friends, my social battery would die very fast. Even if I was around people I love so much.

And when I get home, I just want to go to bed, alone, without anyone around me.

I treated a lot of this on my therapy, because I always felt guilty to have this social battery, to need time alone and all that stuff.

I also always had a lot of stomach and skin problem, because my nervous system feels so much, that it attacks my body.

HSP is not something silly, many introvert people especially, have it.

It’s also not something bad, it’s just the way your body works, so you will need to find things that can ground yourself and protect your energy.

Some people will not understand you, they will think your quiet and sensitive energy is a problematic to keep friends.

It’s not! You just need to find people that can understand you. ✨❤️

... Read moreBeing a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) comes with unique challenges, but it also offers profound insights into emotional experiences. Many HSPs report feeling overwhelmed in high-stimulation environments, such as bustling gyms or crowded restaurants. This heightened sensitivity can manifest physically, leading to health issues like stomach problems and skin sensitivities due to stress. Therapy often helps HSPs process these feelings, reassessing their social needs without guilt. It's crucial for HSPs to carve out time for solitude to recharge and find equilibrium. Strategies like journaling, embracing nature, and creating serene home environments can significantly alleviate stress. Support from friends and family plays a vital role in the well-being of HSPs. Finding understanding companions who respect an HSP's need for downtime is essential, helping to counteract feelings of isolation. As society recognizes the value of diverse sensitivities, those identifying as HSPs can embrace their attributes, promoting self-acceptance and healthier interactions.
