February Reading Log 📓💕 (Part 1)

There’s something so satisfying about filling in my book journal each month!

February still has lots of reading days left but let’s catch up to documenting what I have so far.

Part 1 of logging 10 February reads — starting with the first 4. Ratings, quick thoughts, and seeing if they all lived up to their hype!

I love seeing everything laid out like this. It makes the reading feel intentional 🥹

Do you track your reads digitally or in a journal?

Come back for Part 2!

#bookishalgorithm #bookjournal #februaryreads #lemon8books

2/20 Edited to

... Read moreKeeping a book journal has truly transformed the way I experience reading. Each month, when I sit down to log my reads, it feels like a mini celebration of my literary journey. Personally, I prefer combining both digital tracking apps and a physical journal because each has unique benefits. Digital apps help me organize my list and quickly update my status on the go, while my journal allows for detailed notes, doodles, and personal reflections, making the process tactile and more connected. This February, I set a goal of tracking 10 books and so far I’ve started filling in 4 entries. It’s been fascinating to see how certain books didn’t meet my expectations—I’ve called some “overhyped” based on my experience, even if they receive glowing reviews elsewhere. It’s a reminder that reading preferences are personal, and that honest thoughts are valuable not just for myself but for fellow readers who rely on genuine recommendations. Another fun aspect is engaging with reading challenges, like alphabet challenges or bingo-related reading prompts, which keep the reading experience playful and dynamic. Even if I haven’t claimed any bingo boxes this month, it adds an element of motivation. If you’re thinking about starting your own reading log, I recommend experimenting to find what suits you best, whether a simple digital list or a detailed creative journal. Being intentional with your reading habits not only enhances enjoyment but helps you remember and reflect on what you’ve experienced. Plus, sharing your insights can create a meaningful connection with other book lovers. I’m excited to continue this journey for the rest of February and invite others to share how they track their reads—do you journal or use apps? I’ll be posting Part 2 soon, so stay tuned for more honest book reviews and insights!

One thing about me is that I love a good Google Sheet and even though I keep track of what I’m reading on Goodreads, I also love to keep track in a spreadsheet month by month! If you’d want me to do a step by step on how I do the different things such as the month, rating, format, let me know!!
