Snack with me🥒
If you #enjoy #cucumbers like me then this #snack might be for you.
In the #summer months, I love a good light snack.
What you need:
~Cucumbers
~Garlic
~pepper, creole seasoning
~Vinegar
~Italian dressing
This can be modified by your liking but the #italiandressing and #vinegar is what i use basically as the base.
Sometimes, I add #picodegallo and subtract the garlic and creole seasoning as the pico has so much flavor on its own.
If you think you want to try this, save it to your favorites. If you try it let me know how you made yours and or how you liked it.
I drank a #gatorade cool blue with it. That’s my absolute favorite Gatorade flavor. 🥰
Hey everyone! While I absolutely adore my savory cucumber snack recipe (it's seriously my go-to for a quick, refreshing bite!), I know some of you might be exploring different ways to enjoy cucumbers, perhaps even searching for something on the sweeter side, like a cucumber dessert. It's true, cucumbers are incredibly versatile and can be surprisingly delicious in sweet preparations too, especially when you're looking for something light, hydrating, and cooling. I’ve been experimenting with a few ideas myself for those moments when I crave something subtly sweet after a meal, or even for a healthy 'snack time' pick-me-up that feels like a treat. It's fascinating how a simple vegetable can transform from a zesty savory bite to a delicate sweet delight! One of my favorite ways to enjoy a cucumber in a dessert-like fashion is a simple Cucumber & Berry Salad with Honey-Lime Dressing. It’s incredibly easy to put together and perfect for summer. You’ll need: 1-2 medium cucumbers, peeled (or not, if you prefer) and thinly sliced or diced 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries – whatever you love!) A handful of fresh mint leaves, chopped For the dressing: 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, 1 teaspoon honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option), and a tiny pinch of salt. Just gently toss the cucumbers, berries, and mint together in a bowl. Whisk the dressing ingredients and drizzle it over the salad. This dish is vibrant, packed with antioxidants, and the coolness of the cucumber with the sweetness of the berries and zing of lime is just heavenly. It really hits the spot when you want something fresh and light that isn't too heavy. Another fantastic idea for a healthy, refreshing 'dessert' or a substantial 'snack time' option is a Cucumber & Yogurt Parfait. This is a twist on a classic that you might not expect! Here's how I make it: 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla) ½ cucumber, grated and gently squeezed to remove excess water 1-2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup, to taste A sprinkle of granola for crunch Optional: A few chopped nuts, seeds, or a light dusting of cinnamon. Simply mix the grated, drained cucumber with the Greek yogurt and your chosen sweetener. Layer it in a glass with granola. It's creamy, crunchy, and the subtle freshness of the cucumber perfectly complements the tang of the yogurt. This feels incredibly indulgent but is super healthy and satisfying. These sweet cucumber creations prove that this humble vegetable has so much more to offer than just savory dishes. They are perfect for ending a meal on a light note, or simply as a hydrating, delicious treat during your 'snack time' on a warm day. Don't be afraid to get creative and explore the lighter, sweeter side of cucumbers!
