The #personalfinance #🍋8 contest is based on how many posts you make. I thought the contests content would have to actually relate to finance in addition to making multiple posts.
Some of the profiles I click on in the top creators for the contest just posted many multiple posts with random pictures and the #personalfinance
Some of the people on the list didn’t have any posts I could see with even the #personalfinance
(I also want to include that the creators with posts that actually relate to finance are doing a great job. I’m planning on going back through them to see what I can use in my life. ❤️)
I don’t know. I like having prompts to inspire me for posts. I’m not trying to become an influencer, I tried that on TikTok and all that did was ruin my self image. Sent me to the psych ward at least once for the unhinge comments on my appearance and for me being alive.
But even following the prompts for the contests does feel disheartening and like the contests are rigged. Or maybe there is just no structure to the contests?
Just my opinion and wanted to put it out there. But it definitely sours the app a bit for me.

I noticed this too. It floods the recent tab with multiple posts from the same creators with no actual value in their posts :(
