Symptoms like waking up between 2-4 am, constant exhaustion, and intense sugar or salt cravings seemed random at first but now make perfect sense. I also noticed my face getting puffy and bruising easily, which I learned are classic signs of cortisol imbalance. Recognizing these specific signs helped me shift my focus from just dieting and exercising harder to actually supporting my hormone health. One powerful change was prioritizing stress management techniques such as meditation, gentle yoga, and deep breathing exercises. These helped calm my body's stress response and regulate cortisol levels. Additionally, paying attention to my sleep hygiene—like avoiding screens before bed and keeping a consistent sleep schedule—made a huge difference in reducing nighttime wakings and improving overall rest. On the nutrition front, I reduced processed sugars and focused on balanced meals rich in protein, healthy fats, and fiber which helped curb cravings and stabilize blood sugar. Importantly, I realized that my body wasn’t broken or lazy; it was stuck in stress mode, which was making weight loss and feeling good feel impossible. Supporting cortisol balance has been a game changer, leading to significant fat loss, especially around my belly and face, not to mention less bloating and inflammation.
