💜 Volunteer Notes:

Ox’s name is very fitting for him! He’s a short and stout bully baby! He was waggy in the kennel for me and was easy to leash and walk outside while he ignored dogs down the row. Once outside he immediately met Miller with a high waggy tail and was very curious about him. Miller is super easy going, so I’d be a bit curious to see how Ox does with a more dominant male dog but he did fine with Miller. Ox is VERY treat motivated so I could see him being easy to train. He knows how to sit and will wait for treats but he is quite eager for snackies when you hand them over so you have to watch your fingers a bit when giving him treats. YUM YUM MORE SNACKIES PLEASE! He’s a petite schmedium guy and sat patiently while I took some great photos of him. He looks like a little Gremlin! His cough sounded awful poor guy but it didn’t seem to stop his happy friendly personality. He was waggy and happy and enjoyed lots of pets from me. He did some marking tinkles outside and walked easy peasy right back to his kennel for more snackies. He’s really good at catching them!

Ox is a good boy! He is very infatuated with ginger and when he wasn’t trying to get ginger to marry him, he walked very nicely on the leash. We met a Sharpei outside the fence being walked by a resident on the trail and he desperately wanted to go play with that big dog. We tried him with two other males and the poor guy is giving off some kind of energy that the other dogs are picking up on, but he was actually fine. It was the other dogs that didn’t seem to like him and it broke our hearts because he just wanted to play and we did get a video of him on approach to meeting an eight-year-old German Shepherd, and very good boy easy tell wag low tail not pulling so I think he would be OK with an equal energy dog. females he’s going to be absolutely fine with.
