We can’t even give a non-consenting adult a blood transfusion when they are actively hemorrhaging. But we’re okay with major surgery in the absence of a medical emergency against the patient’s will, over a theoretical ~2% risk of a medical complication. Okay 👍 #laboranddelivery #cesarean #obgy
