Things in my classroom that just work for me…
What’s been working for me lately in my classroom. 🍎 #teacher #teachersoftiktok #classroomdecor #classroomroutines #fyp
In my teaching experience, having a well-organized classroom system makes a huge difference in daily flow and student engagement. One method that stands out is using desk numbers—it not only helps students learn each other's names but also simplifies attendance and assignment distribution. For instance, when students miss class, the 'Absent bin' is a lifesaver where all missed assignments are kept, so students can easily catch up without confusion. Another routine I've embraced is a clear 'Classroom screen board' that displays key information such as upcoming assessments and daily objectives. For my World History students, this board frequently features review prompts for the Common Final Exam (CFE), helping them stay focused on what they need to prepare. I also find it helpful to provide translated documents for students who may benefit from additional language support, making content more accessible and reducing learning gaps. Incorporating these strategies creates an environment where expectations are clear, materials are accessible, and students feel supported—all crucial components for a thriving classroom. Over time, these practices have enabled my students to take more ownership of their learning and arrive prepared for final assessments. If you're looking to boost classroom management and student success, consider adopting these simple yet effective tools and routines.
