But after a lot of trial and error, I've found some amazing ways to make beet juice not just tolerable, but actually enjoyable and a staple in my healthy routine. First off, let's talk about preparation. This is crucial, especially when you're looking for clean, pure juice. When I bring my beets home, I make sure to give them a really good scrub under cold running water. You want to get rid of any dirt and grime. For conventional beets, I sometimes use a veggie brush to ensure they're "Pesticide Killaaaa" clean, as the image says! Whether or not to peel them is a common question. Honestly, if your beets are organic and thoroughly cleaned, you can leave the skin on – it's packed with nutrients. But if they're not organic or if I find the skin too tough, I'll quickly peel them. After cleaning, I chop them into smaller chunks that fit easily into my juicer. This makes the whole process so much smoother. Now, for the taste challenge! If you're like me and beets aren't your 'fave part' on their own, don't worry. The key is pairing them with other delicious ingredients. I love to combine mine with fruits like apples, oranges, or even a bit of the 'Dragon fruit' mentioned in my images for a sweeter, more palatable blend. Ginger and lemon are also fantastic additions that cut through the earthiness beautifully. Start with a smaller amount of beet and gradually increase it as your taste buds adjust. This way, you're still getting the benefits without feeling overwhelmed. You might be wondering, "can you eat beets everyday?" Absolutely! Beets are packed with essential vitamins, minerals, and powerful antioxidants. They're particularly known for their high content of nitrates, which your body converts into nitric oxide. This helps with blood flow and can even boost exercise performance – a great benefit for your transformation journey! Incorporating beets into your daily diet, whether through juice, roasted in salads, or even grated raw, is a fantastic way to support your overall health and well-being. Just make sure you're listening to your body and maintaining a balanced diet. One thing that often surprises people when they start consuming more beets is a phenomenon called beeturia.
