Growth Week — Wednesday.
Did I really have the extra money to get my hair done? Nope. 😂 But I needed to see where my hair was—how much it had grown, where the breakage was—and honestly, I wanted to feel good.
And that’s part of growth too.
Self-care isn’t always about looking different. Sometimes it’s doing something that makes you look at yourself a little differently.
Today, my hair is OUT. I’m feeling good, I’m trying something different, and we’re gonna see what this Florida humidity has to say about all of it. 😂
Get up. Get out. Do something for YOU today—even if it’s small.
And yes… we may need an end-of-day hair update. 😂

From my own experience, I’ve found that self-care isn’t necessarily about grand gestures or expensive treatments—it’s often the small, intentional actions that really make a difference in how you feel about yourself. For example, doing a simple hair check, like noticing how much your hair has grown or spotting areas of breakage, can provide not just practical insight but also motivate you to take better care of yourself moving forward. I remember a day when I couldn’t justify spending extra money on a salon visit, but I still took the time to look closely at my hair’s progress. That moment of reflection helped me appreciate the growth that sometimes goes unnoticed and reminded me that feeling good internally can be independent of spending money. Putting my hair OUT and embracing the natural look, even in challenging Florida humidity, was a fun experiment that boosted my mood. It’s interesting how self-care can shift your perspective. Doing something for yourself—whether it’s a longer shower, a new outfit, or simply a moment of mindfulness—invites you to reconnect with who you are and what makes you feel energized. This mindset also fuels personal growth, encouraging you to face each day with a bit more confidence and curiosity. If you’re struggling to find motivation, I recommend starting with small goals. Maybe it’s stepping outside for fresh air, taking a moment to assess your progress in any area of your life, or trying a new look that makes you smile. These acts might seem minor but can create a ripple effect, helping you build momentum toward bigger changes. Lastly, don’t be afraid to share your journey with others. Posting updates or reflections, like a quick hair check or personal milestone, not only holds you accountable but can also inspire others in the community to embrace their own growth processes. Remember, growth is a journey, and sometimes it’s the small self-care rituals that keep us moving forward, feeling good, and staying connected to ourselves.
