My Birth Story Pt2

Bringing my daughter into this world is one of my favorite memories! tune into my page to see pt 1 of my birth story! after having a emergency C-Section because i had a fever of 102 , my body was in distress and even though my baby wasn’t showing sign yet they doctor didn’t want to take any chances (she wanted me to have a C-Section anyway because that’s what’s she was known for ) i thought having a black OBGYN would make my story different , i was so wrong i’m just happy that me and my daughter made it out alive! when me and my husband decided to start trying again i will take my time and look for a doctor because preparation is key , when i found out i was pregnant i was in the mist of moving from a different city so i had to change all my doctors last min. my daughter was brought earthside on my birthday 🥳 and it was the greatest present ever! i had previously said i didn’t wanna have my daughter on my birth day but there were all kinds of signs that it would happen. i went to mcdonald’s the day before and i said to myself and my family to order me a milkshake and if the milkshake machine was working i would have my daughter on my birthday and what do you know for the very first time in years the milkshake machine was working and i received the nicest customer service i’ve ever gotten from mcdonald’s and it’s weird because i never saw or heard from the worker and it’s right by my house so i would go there often for fries (my pregnancy cravings were fries and slushies and milkshake) i can tell stories about the journey of bringing my daughter earthside all day but for now , i’ll end this one by saying how disrespectful it is that after all that ! my daughter came out looking EXACTLY like her father and i definitely thought she would be my twin ! anyway, 🤍 thanks for reading #mybirthstory #lemon8challenge #birthrights

... Read moreBringing a child into the world is an unforgettable experience, often filled with joy and unexpected surprises. In my case, it was a mix of both, as I faced an emergency C-section due to a fever during labor. Choosing the right healthcare provider is essential for every expectant mother, and it can set the tone for the entire birth experience. Expecting mothers may have specific desires for their birthing experience, and my story illustrates how preparation plays a crucial role. From the moment I learned of my pregnancy, relocating and finding new doctors added pressure, yet every moment seemed to align as signs pointed towards the significance of my daughter's birth date. A simple visit to McDonald's, where the milkshake machine was functioning when it usually was not, became a symbolic moment that foreshadowed my daughter's arrival. This journey not only highlights the emotional aspects of childbirth but also the reality that every mother's experience is unique. Building connections with other moms can enhance the journey, creating a support network that shares insights on various topics, like birth rights and personal preferences. Finally, the irony of my daughter’s resemblance to her father instead of me serves as a humorous endnote to an already remarkable story. If you're seeking inspiration and relatable experiences about childbirth and parenting, dive deeper into my birth story and share yours too!
