... Read moreLiving with Tourette Syndrome is often misunderstood by many. From my own experience, the emotional and social challenges can sometimes be as exhausting as the physical tics themselves. The BAFTAs situation highlights how conversations about discrimination and oppression can quickly become complicated, especially when intersecting with ableism and racism. It’s important to recognize that people with Tourette Syndrome face unique struggles that are often overlooked, such as being unfairly judged for involuntary behaviors or facing stigma in workplaces and social situations. One of the most difficult aspects for me has been dealing with the intrusive thoughts and the emotional toll they can take. These challenges can lead to feelings of isolation and misunderstanding, especially when people dismiss or minimize the reality of living with a neurological condition. Therapy and support networks have been crucial in managing my mental health and maintaining resilience. Moreover, engaging in broader social justice dialogues requires balancing personal wellbeing with advocacy. It’s heartbreaking to face accusations of not being 'enough' or being misunderstood in terms of one’s stance on issues like racism. However, this also reflects the broader need for compassion and nuance when discussing oppression—recognizing that different groups experience marginalization differently but with equal validity. Sharing personal stories around Tourette Syndrome adds valuable insight to these conversations. It challenges misconceptions, promotes awareness, and encourages empathy. Those affected often endure comments that are hurtful or ignorant, making community support and education essential. By opening up about struggles and triumphs, we not only shed light on Tourette Syndrome but also enrich the collective understanding that all forms of oppression deserve attention and respect.

A light brown background displays text offering affirmations for managing intrusive thoughts and OCD. It states that thoughts are not prophecies, fear doesn't dictate actions, and uncertainty is part of being human, encouraging choosing truth over fear over OCD's noise.
💜 Thoughts Aren’t Truth 💜
OCD doesn’t get the final say. My thoughts aren’t facts—they’re just thoughts. I can let them pass without chasing them, trust that I’m safe in this moment, and allow joy in without fear. Uncertainty is part of being human, and I’m learning to meet it with courage instead of control. 💜✨ #OCDRec

Final thoughts… at least so far 🥲
My life got hectic but I definitely finished the first three books of this series and I have some thoughts 💭 Pros: the twist turns in the story keeps you on the edge of you seat and wanting more. At the end of every book a bomb drops revealing a new turn into the story. Watching well reading ho

Pastels & some thoughts on cake
The hardest part about bento cakes or perhaps any cake in general is the final coat of icing IMHO. Sharper icing makes such a difference between a luxury vs beginner cake. Last slide is a cake I made years ago as a reminder of how far I’ve come with icing 🥹 I sometimes see comments on using “sm

My thoughts on Jenny Humphrey
Let’s say it louder for the people in the back: Jenny Humphrey was done dirty by the writers. She could’ve been one of the most complex, compelling, and relatable characters in all of Gossip Girl — but instead, they chewed her up, villainized her, and tossed her out like an old headband. Le
