Hydration matters too—skipping moisturizer because of oily skin is a trap. When your skin is dry, it compensates by producing more oil. I switched to a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer which kept my skin balanced. Finally, choosing the right acne products is essential. High percentages of benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid can be effective but harsh if used incorrectly. I learned to start with lower concentrations and slowly build up tolerance. In summary, a gentle, consistent routine combined with a healthy diet and proper cleansing can make a big difference.
