Cinnamon Tea for Menstrual Relief 💕

I had a teacup size of cinnamon tea to see if it’ll relieve my cramps. It relieved me just a bit but to get a better effect you should have 2-3 cups a day. I normally drink raspberry leaf tea before or during my cycle but I’m out of the tea bags. So I’m just working with what I have as of now.

You can also add nutmeg or ginger in your tea. Instead of honey is used Organic Amber Agave.

There’s no need for sweeteners as it is already sweet.

... Read moreHey everyone! Following up on my last post about trying cinnamon tea for period cramps, I wanted to dive a little deeper into how you can make this soothing brew yourself and why it might be a game-changer for your monthly cycle. I know so many of us struggle with painful periods, and finding natural relief can feel like searching for a hidden gem. First off, let's talk about making your own 'Menstrual Remedy Cinnamon Tea' at home. It's super simple! My trusty recipe card suggests you'll need just a few basic ingredients: water, and of course, cinnamon sticks. You can find step-by-step instructions like mine which often recommend simmering a few cinnamon sticks in water for about 10-15 minutes. This gentle simmering really helps extract all those wonderful compounds. Typically, prep time is minimal, maybe 5 minutes, and cook time is around 10-15 minutes, making the total time less than 20 minutes for a comforting cup. Some recipes even list servings and calorie info if you're tracking! Now, why cinnamon? Well, this spice isn't just for baked goods! Cinnamon is known for its anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties, which can be incredibly helpful for easing those uterine contractions that cause cramps. I personally found that even one cup offered a bit of relief, but like I mentioned, aiming for 2-3 cups a day during your period seems to be the sweet spot for a more significant effect. And remember how I mentioned adding other ingredients? My OCR results show that some people even add a dash of lemon juice, which can give it a nice zesty kick and boost vitamin C. For an extra warming and pain-relieving boost, I highly recommend adding a slice or two of fresh ginger. Many of you searched for 'ginger and cinnamon tea for period,' and for good reason! Ginger is another powerhouse anti-inflammatory. You could also experiment with a pinch of nutmeg, or even a couple of whole cloves, which some traditional remedies use for menstrual support. Just simmer them along with your cinnamon sticks. Instead of honey, I love using Organic Amber Agave – it’s naturally sweet and gives it a lovely flavor without needing refined sugars. This was highlighted in my OCR, too! Beyond tea, supporting your body during your period can make a huge difference. While cinnamon tea can help with symptoms, a holistic approach is key. For example, staying hydrated is crucial, and some women find relief by drinking 'cinnamon water for periods,' which is just diluted cinnamon tea or water infused with cinnamon. Also, focusing on anti-inflammatory foods can help. While I haven't tried 'turmeric water for periods' personally, turmeric is another fantastic anti-inflammatory spice often recommended. And for those asking about the 'best fruit for period cramps,' berries, avocados, and bananas are often cited for their nutrient content and ability to aid muscle relaxation. It's important to remember that natural remedies like cinnamon tea primarily offer relief and support your body's natural processes. If you're looking for ways to 'stop your period' or 'prepone periods,' that's a different conversation, and it's always best to consult a healthcare professional for advice tailored to your specific health needs. My goal with cinnamon tea is purely to make those challenging days a little more bearable. I hope these extra tips help you on your journey to more comfortable periods! Let me know if you try making your own cinnamon tea blend!
