After my rather… unforgettable experience with the Versace Dylan Purple Eau de Parfum, I've been doing a deep dive into other Versace beauty products. You know, trying to figure out if that particular perfume was just a miss for me, or if I should approach their whole beauty line with caution. So many of you asked about my thoughts on their lip glosses, especially since the perfume sample, with its distinctive translucent purple cylindrical container and elegant gold lettering, really made me curious about the overall aesthetic of Versace's smaller beauty items. Let's talk about Versace lip gloss! It seems to be a hot topic, and I totally get why. When I think of Versace, I picture luxury, bold statements, and high-quality finishes. Naturally, I wondered if their lip glosses would live up to that opulent image. I've been doing some research and even managed to snag a sample of their Medusa Amplifying Lip Gloss (or something similar, they have a few!). First off, the packaging is, as expected, absolutely stunning. It’s got that signature Versace flair - sleek, often with a hint of gold, and feels substantial in your hand. You definitely feel like you're holding a piece of luxury. But beyond the looks, what about the actual product? I found the formula to be quite impressive. It glides on smoothly, without that overly sticky feeling that some glosses can leave behind. The shine is incredible – it really gives your lips that plump, juicy look that’s so popular right now. I tried a sheer nude shade, and it added just the right amount of tint and shimmer without being too overwhelming. It felt comfortable on the lips, and I didn't experience any of that drying sensation you sometimes get with long-wearing products. However, let's be real – Versace beauty products come with a luxury price tag. While the gloss feels amazing and looks fantastic, you have to weigh that against the cost. Is it an everyday essential, or more of a splurge for special occasions? For me, it falls into the latter category. It's a gorgeous treat, perfect for when you want to feel a little extra glamorous. The staying power is decent for a gloss, but like most, it won't survive a full meal without needing a touch-up. Compared to other high-end lip glosses I’ve tried, Versace's offering definitely holds its own in terms of shine and feel. It delivers on the luxury experience. If you're someone who loves designer beauty and is looking for a gloss that feels and looks premium, it’s definitely worth considering. But if you're on a tighter budget, there are fantastic alternatives out there that offer similar effects without the designer label. So, while the Versace Dylan Purple perfume was a hard pass for me, I'm happy to report that their lip glosses seem to be a much more pleasant experience!
