This is the Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Cologne.

I finished a one time use sample size. Upon writing this review, I'm realizing that this is a men's cologne. However I wore it and I loved it. When I first sprayed it though I did not like it, but once it settled I was obsessed. According to Sephora's website description, the notes are “King William Pear, Freesia, Patchouli”. This scent lasted ALL day! I think I could smell the pear more than anything. I liked that this was more of a fruity scent than a floral scent. I would honestly purchase this again for myself. This is another fragrance that is not insanely priced, 1.7 oz for $122.

Having tried various fragrances, I can relate to the experience of initially not loving a scent but growing to adore it once it settles. The Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia Cologne is a perfect example of this. At first spray, it struck me as quite sharp, possibly due to the patchouli or the freesia, but after a few minutes, the pear note truly took center stage, giving it a refreshing and juicy aroma. What impressed me most was the longevity. Many fruity scents tend to fade quickly or turn overly sweet over time. However, this cologne maintained its bright pear essence throughout the day without becoming overpowering. This balance makes it ideal for daily wear, whether for work or casual outings. Additionally, the unisex nature of the scent broadens its appeal. While marketed as a men's cologne, I found its blend versatile enough to suit anyone seeking a crisp, clean fragrance that deviates from typical florals or heavy musks. Regarding the price point, the $122 tag for 1.7 oz might seem steep initially, but considering the lasting power and quality of ingredients, it feels justified. Sampling a one-time use sachet helped me decide on its value before committing to a full bottle. If you enjoy scents with a fruity twist balanced by subtle earthiness, this fragrance is worth testing. It’s an elegant choice that stands out nicely without being too bold. From personal experience, embracing fragrances that grow on you after application can open up new favorites you might otherwise overlook.
