This is the Telescopic Instant Lift Washable Mascara by L'Oréal Paris.
I did NOT finish this. I never reached for this. When it's brand new, it is the wettest mascara in the world. It gets everywhere. So I will leave it for a while after opening it, hoping it dries down a little. But I tried to use this again and it was so clumpy and hard to use. It did not make my lashes any longer, but it made them look thick and heavy. And it is SO flakey! I originally tried this in the waterproof formula, and did not have all these issues. I like that one so much better, that one is just impossible to take off. This one smudges and melts all over the place. I hated using this. I've found so many other mascaras I like better, I'll never repurchase this.
Having tried various mascaras over time, I can confidently say that finding the right formula that balances volume, length, and wearability is not always easy. My experience with the L'Oréal Telescopic Instant Lift Washable Mascara was particularly frustrating because, when freshly opened, it was overly wet and messy—prone to smudging all over the lid. I tried to remedy this by leaving it open for a few days to let it dry down, but it still became clumpy and flaky quickly. One thing I appreciated about this mascara was the thick and heavy lash look it created, but sadly it didn’t add length to my lashes, which was one of my expectations. In contrast, I had a much better experience with the waterproof version of the same mascara, which, although a bit harder to remove, held up much better throughout the day and didn’t flake or smudge. From my personal experience, mascaras that dry out quicker tend to be less user-friendly at the beginning but settle into a more manageable texture. However, this washable formula missed the mark for me. The flaking can be a real concern if you have sensitive eyes or wear contact lenses, as flakes can cause irritation. If you’re looking for a mascara that offers both length and volume without the mess, I’d recommend exploring mascaras with a drier formula or those highly-rated for longevity and minimal smudging. Also, waterproof mascaras consistently outperform washable ones in terms of staying power and resistance to flaking. Ultimately, mascara is a highly personal choice depending on your lash needs and removal preferences. Don’t hesitate to test samples or check community reviews before committing to a full purchase. For me, the quest continues for the perfect mascara that gives dramatic lashes without the hassles of smudging or flakes.
