My Eyeshadow Palette Collection - Part 1
Welcome to my new series!! I LOVE eyeshadow palettes and I think they’re so beautiful and unique. I have been collecting them for years, and I thought I’d share my collection with you!! So welcome to part 1 - with many more parts to come!
This is the What’s The Tea? Hot Tea Eyeshadow Palette by The Balm Cosmetics. I got this through Ipsy. The packaging is SO cute! It comes with 9 eyeshadows, 4 matte shades, 5 shimmer shades, and 2 eyelid primers!! One black, and one neutral. I don’t know why I never reach for this palette! I’ve never used the eyelid primers (I’ve actually never used an eyeshadow primer!) These shadows are so beautiful! My favorite is shade “Tell-All”. Unfortunately, I believe this palette has been discontinued. I did find it on Amazon, but other than that I can only find it on reseller websites. Do you have this palette? What do you think of it?

As someone who has been passionate about eyeshadow palettes for years, I can say that finding a palette like The Balm's What’s The Tea? Hot Tea is a real gem despite it being discontinued. What I love most about this palette, beyond its adorable packaging, is the versatility offered by the combination of matte and shimmer shades. The matte shadows are perfect for creating a smooth base or for subtle blending, while the shimmers add that extra pop of glam perfect for evening looks. One thing I realized while using this palette is how much of a difference eyelid primers can make. Although I hadn't used the included black and neutral primers before, trying them out helped improve the longevity and vibrancy of the eyeshadows significantly. For anyone new to primers, starting with a neutral base primer can enhance the pigmentation and help shadows blend more effortlessly. My favorite shade, 'Tell-All', is a stunning shimmer that adds dimension to any eye look. I often use it as an inner corner highlight or over the lid for a glowing effect. Since this palette is hard to find, checking platforms like Amazon or trusted resellers can be worthwhile if you're a collector or just want to try a unique palette. In the bigger picture, collecting eyeshadow palettes is not just about having many colors; it's about discovering how each palette inspires creativity and complements your style. I’m excited to continue sharing more palettes in this series and discussing how each one fits into my makeup routine. If you have the What’s The Tea? Hot Tea palette or similar favorites, I’d love to hear your thoughts and tips too!
