My love doesn’t feel borrowed
My love doesn’t feel borrowed. I’m learning that peaceful love feels different. It makes room for you, respects you, supports you, and allows you to simply be yourself. At this stage of my life, I’m grateful for a love that adds to my peace instead of taking away from it.
In my journey of understanding love, I have come to realize that the most fulfilling kind of love is peaceful and supportive. Unlike the love that feels borrowed or dependent, peaceful love is freeing. It doesn’t weigh heavily on your heart or mind but instead creates a space where you can breathe and grow. This kind of love encourages you to be authentic without fear of judgment or losing your identity. I recall moments in my past where love felt burdensome and overwhelming, almost like I was borrowing affection or approval rather than truly receiving it. That experience contrasted sharply with my current understanding, where love brings calmness and clarity. It allows for respect in differences, mutual support in hardships, and shared joy in everyday moments. A key aspect of this peaceful love is gratitude. Recognizing and appreciating this love each day deepens its impact and reinforces the bond. When love does not take away from your inner peace but adds to it, it creates a foundation for long-term happiness and personal growth. For anyone seeking love or reflecting on their relationships, I encourage embracing love that respects your space and individuality. It's a love that supports your personal goals and well-being while building a partnership based on mutual respect and kindness. This kind of love is real and lasting, and once you experience it, you realize that it never feels borrowed—it feels like home.
