When offering catnip, it’s important to observe your cats’ reactions and ensure they enjoy it responsibly. Not all cats respond to catnip, as sensitivity is inherited genetically. However, those that do often display behaviors such as rolling, pawing, and chasing toys excitedly. For me, using catnip during play sessions not only entertains my cats but also strengthens our bond. Toys infused with catnip become favorites, encouraging exercise and mental stimulation. Additionally, catnip can help reduce stress or boredom in indoor cats. It’s advisable to give catnip occasionally to prevent overstimulation. Fresh or dried catnip, as well as catnip sprays, are all effective. Watching cats like Winnie and Milo delight in their catnip-filled playtime is truly a heartwarming experience that highlights the joyful side of feline companionship.
