Growing up, I was always called the “church girl” and it had such a negative connotation on it and I thought it wasn’t a good thing so I did my best to not be called that. I didn’t understand it was the greatest honor I could be called because I wasn’t shown a true relationship with God, I was only taught religion. But this weekend at @WomanEvolveOfficial I was reminded of who I am. I’ve struggled on and off on social media because I was holding onto my perception instead of my identity. How I wanted people to perceive me and when I stepped out, someone whispered how different I was showing up and it put me back into this box that I kept myself in my entire life. But baby, there’s one thing I know, there’s FREEDOM in dying to yourself. Your past, your shame, your insecurity, your lies that you made truth, you ran with something that was never meant for your race and it’s time to let it go. Let it all go and run your race and run it well because I’m running full throttle.
