Cajun chicken pasta
Ingredients
• 1 pint of heavy cream
• 2-3 tosp of olive oil
• 1.5 lbs of chicken breast
• 4 oz of Mexican/4 cheese blend
• 1 green bell pepper
• 1 large tomato
• 1/2 an onion
• 2 cloves of garlic
• any pasta of your choice (i used linguini for this recipe)
• Seasonings: cajun seasoning, sazón, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and basil
1. Chop up bell pepper, tomato, onion, and mince the garlic. Set aside.
2. Season chicken with seasonings above to your liking
3. Heat oil in a deep pan then cook chicken until fully cooked and golden brown
4. Remove chicken and slice into strips
5. In the same pan use the left over oil to sauté the pepper, tomato, etc. for 5 minutes
6. In a separate pot boil pasta until al dente and set aside
7. Add heavy cream and sliced chicken, bring to a boil
8. Add in pasta and cheese and let cheese melt. Once cheese is melted, simmer for 10-15 minutes
9. Taste and add in garlic powder, onion powder, basil, and cajun seasoning
10. Let pasta cook for 5-10 minutes more then done!
