Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta

This is one of the easiest yet absolutely delicious pasta dishes that I make. It comes together so fast, on the table in 30 minutes it’s perfect for those busy days…..

——Chicken Ingredients——

-2 chicken breasts

-1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning

-1 teaspoon chili powder

-1 teaspoon paprika

-1/2 teaspoon black pepper

-1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

-1/2 teaspoon onion powder

-2 tablespoons of oil

:

-1 pound of pasta (cook the pasta according to the directions on the box)

——Sauce Ingredients——

-3 tablespoons of butter

-bell pepper any color will do

-1 small onion

-2 cloves of garlic

-2 cups of heavy cream

-1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

-1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning

-1/2 tablespoon of paprika

-1 teaspoon of garlic powder

-1 teaspoon of onion powder

-1 teaspoon of chili powder

-1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

-1/2 cup of pasta water

1. Boil pasta according to package instructions, reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.

2. Cut the chicken breasts into small pieces, season the chicken with Cajun, chili powder, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.

3. Heat the oil on medium-high heat, add in the chicken and cook until fully cooked through and golden. Remove chicken from pan.

4. To the Same pan add butter, garlic, onion, bell pepper and cook for a couple of minutes. Add in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, the seasonings and give it a good mix.

5. Add in the cooked pasta along with 1/2 cup of pasta water. Return the chicken back to the pan, toss everything together really well. Let everything cook together for about a minute just until everything is heated through.

6. Serve immediately, right before serving, garnish with parsley and more Parmesan cheese and enjoy.

It’s a real lifesaver on chaotic weeknights. What I usually do is cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season them just like in the original recipe. Then, I’ll sauté the chicken directly in the pressure cooker pot until it's browned.
