... Read moreI've been so excited to share how I plan to deepen my spiritual journey and craft this year, and it all starts with my 2026 Witchy Full Moon Calendar! It's not just about knowing the dates; it’s about aligning with nature's sacred cycles and honoring the ancient magic within us. For me, this calendar from @thehourofwitchery is an essential tool to walk this year in alignment with all the cosmic energies.
For me, tracking the moon phases is fundamental. Each full moon brings a powerful energy of culmination, release, and manifestation. For instance, the Full Moon in Cancer (January 3rd) might be perfect for emotional healing and home-focused magic, while the Full Moon in Leo (February 1st) could be about embracing creativity and self-expression. As the year unfolds, with full moons in signs like Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius, I find different aspects of my life illuminated, pushing me to set intentions boldly and release what no longer serves me.
Then there are the new moons—these are my absolute favorite for fresh starts and planting seeds for new endeavors. The New Moon in Capricorn (January 18th) is ideal for setting long-term goals and career intentions, while the New Moon in Pisces (March 18th) encourages dream work and spiritual connection. The calendar also highlights quarter moons, which are great for assessing progress and taking action.
But it’s not just the lunar cycles! The 2026 calendar is packed with significant celestial events and pagan holidays that are crucial for my craft. We have powerful Lunar and Solar Eclipses (like the total lunar eclipse on February 2nd/3rd and the annular solar eclipse on March 17th). These are intense periods of accelerated change and shadow work, prompting deep introspection and transformation. I plan to use these times for significant release work and setting new, powerful intentions.
And of course, the Sabbats! These nature-based festivals are pivotal for connecting with the Earth and the turning season. Starting with IMBOLC (February 1st), a time for purification and new beginnings, moving through OSTARA (March 20th) for balance and fertility, BELTANE (May 1st) for passion and abundance, LITHA (June 21st) for celebrating light and growth, LUGHNASADH/LAMMAS (August 1st) for gratitude and harvest, MABON (September 22nd) for reflection and equilibrium, and finally YULE (December 21st) for rebirth and the return of light. Each of these offers unique opportunities for spell work, rituals, and simply honoring the rhythm of the year. The calendar also reminds me of KRAMPUSNACHT (December 5th), a fun, darker tradition, and the important WITCH'S NEW YEAR!
The astrological seasons, from AQUARIUS SEASON to CAPRICORN SEASON, also play a huge role. Each season brings its unique energetic flavor, influencing my focus. For example, PISCES SEASON (February 19th) encourages intuition and empathy, while ARIES SEASON (March 21st) sparks courage and initiation. By understanding these shifts, I can better align my actions and my magic with the cosmic flow.
Using this calendar, I can plan my rituals, meditations, and spell work in alignment with these energies. Whether it’s a full moon ritual for abundance or a new moon intention-setting ceremony, having all these dates at my fingertips helps me stay connected and intentional. It truly guides my path through each spell, sabbat, and celestial event, helping me to better myself and my craft throughout 2026.
