This is what building a niche career looks like

I’ve never fit neatly into a career box.

I’m not just a public health student. I’m not just building AI tools. I’m not just a founder. I’m someone who sees too many people falling through the cracks, and I can’t unsee it.

Mindprint is so important because I realized Gen Z is smart, curious, and deeply lost in a career system that doesn’t speak our language.

My AI pain recognition project started because I’ve seen how healthcare overlooks non-verbal patients, especially in low-resource settings.

At this career fair, I felt like I had to “translate” my passions into something recruiters would understand. But that’s when I realized: maybe my job isn’t on the table… because I’m supposed to build the table.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re too multidimensional for a traditional job title, this post is for you.

Trying to build a career around your values too?

I created a free 3-step guide I wish I had when I started:

The Career Clarity Map: For Creators, Change-Makers & Misfits. = in the next post!

As society evolves, the need for professionals who can integrate technology and healthcare grows. AI tools are reshaping how healthcare providers assess and treat non-verbal patients, emphasizing the need for innovation. For those feeling lost in traditional career frameworks, it’s crucial to recognize your unique strengths and interests. Engaging with communities that share your passions can provide valuable support. Networking with like-minded individuals can help to uncover opportunities that align with your values, even if they aren’t readily visible in job postings. Additionally, gaining clarity around your career direction can significantly impact your journey. Resources such as the Career Clarity Map can be beneficial for individuals looking to explore non-traditional career paths. This free guide is designed for creators, change-makers, and those who feel like misfits in the workforce. It helps to outline steps to align your personal values with career aspirations and offers practical advice tailored to multifaceted professionals. It’s essential to embrace the notion that your career path might not fit into a predefined box. Instead of feeling pressured to conform to traditional roles, take the initiative to carve out your space in the professional world. Create projects that inspire you, apply your skills in innovative ways to address societal needs, and don’t hesitate to challenge the status quo in your career. Remember, building your table can lead to creating new opportunities for yourself and others in your field.
