What my 12 month old ate today
Our first day of trying full blown meals, she did great! We are finishing our last can of infant formula, and bought our first can of toddler formula today. I know that toddler formula isn’t crazy popular but for us I feel it’s what’s going to work to meet her nutritional needs, we have a big family and I just can’t rely on constantly having cows milk at hand for her few bottles a day
Feeding a toddler can often be a challenge, but it’s essential to ensure a balanced diet that promotes growth and development. On her first day of full meals, my 12-month-old tried a variety of foods, including cheese cubes and hot dogs. While she wasn't a big fan of the hot dog initially, she did enjoy the cheese. It's important to introduce different tastes and textures during this stage to help toddlers develop a palate for healthy foods. Incorporating toddler formulas is another convenient method to help meet nutritional needs, especially for families with multiple meals to prepare. These formulas often contain essential vitamins and minerals, making them a great addition to a toddler's diet when transitioning from infant formula. With the introduction of more solid foods, focus on diversity in meals—this can include fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to support her growing appetite. It’s also worth exploring simple recipes that incorporate ingredients known to please toddlers, such as chicken and carrot ravioli. These options not only cater to their taste preferences but also introduce them to new foods gradually. Monitoring reactions to new foods and respecting preferences is key during this developmental phase. Engaging them at mealtime, making it fun, and providing a variety of options can encourage positive eating habits that last into later childhood.

Awe you’re such a good mama!
