Better version of planned parenthood

From my own experience, finding access to a wide range of reproductive health services is crucial for feeling empowered and in control of my own health. A better version of Planned Parenthood would not only provide the usual birth control methods like pills, IUDs, and implants but also offer thorough STI testing and confidential treatment, including HIV testing, which helped me stay on top of my sexual health needs. I also found that comprehensive cancer screenings, including Pap tests and breast exams, are essential parts of preventive care. Including hormone therapy as part of general health services reflects a truly inclusive healthcare approach, supporting gender-affirming care that respects individuals’ identities. Having access to emergency contraception like the morning-after pill without judgment allowed me to make timely decisions, and the availability of pregnancy testing paired with non-biased counseling provided necessary support when facing difficult choices. Educational programs focusing on sexual health, relationships, and body autonomy filled gaps that traditional healthcare often overlooks. These resources helped me understand my body better and taught me about my rights in healthcare settings. Overall, the key to a better Planned Parenthood lies in extending healthcare to be more inclusive, comprehensive, and patient-centered—ensuring that no one feels alone or unsupported in their reproductive health journey.
