I’ve been thinking a lot about leadership lately.
Performance vs true leadership.
When we’re still controlled by the mask, we perform a version of ourselves that we think we need to be to be good enough.
Bjt all the performance is actually the OPPOSITE of what our people need. They don’t neee perfect, or all planned out.
They need connection, realness, honesty, your lived experiences, your silly humour, your long-winded explanation.
Choosing to unmask isn’t for the faint of heart, but it is for the leaders. The ones that know they’re meant to go first. They’re meant to pave the way, and courageously leave comfort because they’re here to be the Muse for their people.
Being able to stop judging yourself for how you are & embracing all the magical pieces that make you THE person to lead your people— that’s unmasking & becoming your own muse.
