Hey Hex Maniacs! I'm so excited to finally share my full Thorn from The Hex Girls makeup transformation with you all! After getting so many requests, I knew I had to bring this iconic Scooby-Doo! character to life. Thorn, the lead singer, has such a distinct, powerful look, and I had a blast recreating every detail, from her dramatic eyes to her signature red hair. First off, let's talk about getting that flawless base. To achieve Thorn's smooth, almost animated complexion, I started with the Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm Powder, which is fantastic for minimizing texture and creating a canvas. Then, I went in with the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation for long-lasting, full coverage. Don't forget concealer! The Pat McGrath Labs Sublime Concealer helped brighten and perfect under the eyes, just like a cartoon character's unblemished look. For those sharp, defined features, I used the Flower Knows Highlight & Contour Palette, focusing on creating sharp cheekbones and a chiseled jawline that screams rockstar. Now, for the eyes – arguably the most crucial part of Thorn's look! Her dramatic smoky eye and sharp winged liner are legendary. I relied heavily on the Make Up For Ever Artist Pencil in 'Whatever Black' to sketch out the shape and create a deep, intense base. Layering a black eyeshadow over this really locks it in and adds to that mysterious vibe. For the precise wing, the Flower Knows Liquid Eyeliner is a dream. And of course, no Hex Girl look is complete without some serious lashes! I used Kulfi Beauty Badi Lash for volume and added Rokael Beauty Aurora Lites individual lashes for that extra dramatic flair. Oh, and I know Thorn's eyes are technically green, but my green contacts were a no-go – I made sure to edit the pictures for that authentic green glow! For Thorn's perfectly vampy lips, I used the Lisa Eldridge Velvet Lipstick in 'Velvet Jazz.' It’s a gorgeous deep red that perfectly captures her gothic elegance. And we can't forget the hair! That fiery red mane is essential. I used the L'Oreal Colorista Spray 1 Day Hair Color in Red to get that temporary, vibrant hue. It’s perfect for cosplay because it washes out easily, so you can transform back after your villainous performance! This entire process was so much fun, and I learned a lot about creating a character's distinct features through makeup. It’s all about attention to detail and not being afraid to go bold!
