What are you telling yourself?

We make excuses of what is holding us back from making positive changes we need in our lives.

Ultimately, making a change starts from within. So, what are we really telling ourselves inwardly that makes us believe we cannot take action?

Of course, there is no one size fits all concerning the first step, but when someone says they are ready for a change, you see the inward work manifest itself in the outward behavior eventually.

I challenge you to look deep inside yourself, and ask God for guidance so you can take your first big step. 💪🏾💜

... Read moreFrom my own experience, the hardest part about making meaningful change is confronting the negative narratives we tell ourselves daily. I used to catch myself saying things like "I'm not ready" or "This is too hard," which only anchored me in my comfort zone. However, I realized that change doesn’t have to be a slow process—it can happen in a moment when you decide to move forward and never look back. One important step is to pause and honestly reflect on what you’re telling yourself inwardly. Are these thoughts empowering or limiting? I found that when I asked for spiritual guidance and seriously committed to change, my inner mindset began shifting. This inward work gradually showed in my behaviors, as I started setting small but consistent goals. Another helpful practice is using supportive tools like devotionals or wellness journaling to maintain focus and motivation. Taking care of your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing creates a strong foundation for positive transformation. Remember, there’s no universal first step; it’s unique to each person’s journey. But recognizing the excuses holding you back and replacing them with empowering thoughts can set you on the path to growth. Change truly starts within, and one decision can be the turning point to a better life.
