This helps create a smooth batter and prevents lumps. Also, I recommend using cake flour if possible to achieve a lighter texture. If you only have all-purpose flour, it's still great—just be sure to measure carefully. For baking, preheating the oven to a lower temperature initially and then increasing it halfway through, as described, results in a tender crumb and a lightly crusty exterior. Using a non-stick baking spray like Pam on a Bundt pan really helps with an easy release. You can personalize the flavor by adding vanilla extract, almond extract, or even lemon zest for a fresh twist. Additionally, some of my favorite variations include topping the cake with a cream cheese icing or dusting with powdered sugar for extra sweetness. This recipe is perfect for holidays, gatherings, or any time you want a classic, homemade treat that feels both comforting and indulgent. Give it a try—you’ll likely get as many compliments as I did!
