How to tell manager I don’t wanna do certain work

I am currently working on project A and in the middle I was put to work on part of project B which is much bigger and I have no idea how to do anything in it. I am already going through alot of personal life things so it's hard to give 100% at work

How can I bring it up to my manager that I would not like to work on project B without looking bad like I am lazy or not able to handle harder projects?

This shows your willingness to contribute and problem-solve instead of merely refusing responsibilities. Remember, open communication is key, and most managers appreciate honest dialogue regarding workloads. You might also want to research resources or training that could help you handle these assignments better in the future, which can help you feel more prepared and less stressed.

You need to communicate with your manager that you know you cannot meet or exceed standards on project B. Project B is within the scope of your job, you should be able to do it. But it’s possible they hired you thinking you could handle responsibilities that you can’t. Tell them so they can hire someone else 💕
